Former UFC champion Conor McGregor has once again been involved in a controversy, this time after starring in an assault at the iconic Pacha nightclub in Ibiza. In the early hours of the morning, the Irishman hit an attendee without any visible provocation, which has ignited social networks and generated reactions in the environment of entertainment and combat sports.

Wayne Lineker, an Ibiza-based entertainment entrepreneur and close friend of the assaulted man - identified as Joe Gomez - said on social media that he “took two punches for no reason” and that his friend “took them like a champ,” regretting McGregor's behavior.

Despite the seriousness of the act, no formal charges have been announced so far. Witnesses describe it as an act with no apparent motivation, which has unleashed a wave of criticism towards the former wrestler.

This episode is not isolated in McGregor's career outside the octagon. In 2019, the Irishman was fined €1,000 for assaulting a man in a Dublin pub for refusing to have a drink with him. In 2021 he staged an altercation in a Roman nightclub, and in 2023 he was accused of assaulting a woman on a yacht in Ibiza

For now, the Ibiza prosecutor's office is expected to analyze the video and, if necessary, determine whether there will be formal charges. The aggressor, known for his charisma and success in the ring, could face significant legal and image consequences if this incident continues to escalate.
